Soundtrack LP Bundle Offer

£49.99

Released 28 July 2017

“It has been heart warming to see the return of vinyl.  Even though I loved being free of its limitations in the digital world, there is still a warmth and presence to vinyl that somehow makes it a more natural human companion. It is great to see a new generation learning the secrets of the grooves”Peter Gabriel

Peter Gabriel’s triumvirate of Soundtrack albums: Birdy, Passion and Long Walk Home, available on double vinyl (Birdy & LWH) and triple vinyl (Passion) for a special bundle-only price.

The albums have been Half-Speed Remastered and cut to lacquers at 45RPM to deliver maximum dynamic range in the sound. Birdy and Long Walk Home are cut across 2 x heavyweight LPs whilst Passion is on 3 x heavyweight LPs with music on five sides and an etching on the sixth. The vinyl was cut by Matt Colton at Alchemy Mastering, mastered by Tony Cousins at Metropolis and overseen by Peter’s main sound engineer Richard Chappell.

Gatefold sleeves utilise imagery from the original LP releases + additional images from the films. Passion and Long Walk Home have printed inner bags, whilst Birdy comes with plain white inner bags. All images are newly re-scanned.

The album also contains a download card with a choice of digital download (Hi-Res 24bit/96k or 16bit/44.1k) for Passion and (Hi-Res 24bit/44.1k or 16bit/44.1k) for Birdy & Long Walk Home.

The albums are Limited Edition and individually Numbered.

“… the mastering is extraordinary, the sound incredible, truly putting many of the other releases this month, however good the music, into sonic perspective.” – The Arts Desk

“For him [Peter Gabriel], soundtracks have always been epic projects, which he can dive into and paddle around in for years. Often he'd spend more time on them than on his multi-million-selling albums, meeting collaborators and developing methodologies that would have a profound effect on the rest of his music.” – 8/10 Reissue of the Month, Uncut Magazine.
