Jogkauns is the stunning new album from sitar virtuoso Jasdeep Singh Degun, released on Real World Records. Following his multi-award-winning debut Anomaly, this is Degun’s first full-length recording devoted entirely to Indian classical music. Recorded live at Real World Studios with tabla accompanist Harkiret Bahra, Jogkauns captures Jasdeep at a pivotal moment in his career, distilling years of study, performance and improvisation.

Trained in the Imdad-Khani gharana yet equally at home in orchestral and cross-genre collaborations, Jasdeep moves fluidly between tradition and innovation. On Jogkauns he returns to the very foundations of his artistry, bringing rare intensity, lyricism and imagination to the long-form tradition of raags.
