Amjad Ali Khan is a leading modern master of the sarod, world renowned for his elegant style and technique. After a lifetime of work on the instrument, he has breathed a new life to this ancient and beautiful form.

Khan was born into a family of musicians whose illustrious lineage stretches back over five generations, with some even speculating that it was one of his ancestors who invented the sarod. His two sons, Amaan Ali Bangash and Ayaan Ali Bangash, who feature on Moksha continue the legacy.
